A highly qualified and experienced Native English Speaker with a passion for English teaching. I have been teaching English for over 12 years and have helped countless students improve their English. I have experience of teaching many types of English courses including general, exam, business and English for kids. My speciality is teaching conversation and communication.
Career highlights
I started in Education as a Learning support assistant for disabled college students and this inspired me to become a teacher. My almost 20 years as a teacher has been quite varied, I have taught English to many ages and types of students. I have taught in public, private and Bilingual schools as well as helping to manage summer camps and summer schools. Now I teach Freelance here online and do projects/courses in Language schools and public schools.

Specialism
My specialism, the one I offer here is the communicative method. I help people with the vocabulary and structures necessary to speak, then I help with speaking practice and make suggestions and corrections when necessary. My main method is based on the input - output method. This is the idea that I give my students some input, a video, a reading, new vocabulary or grammar, and then I give the students plenty of time to practise this language in a meaninful context.

My first experience of Teaching was teaching disabled students.

My first experience of English Teaching was when I did teaching practice with young Buddhist Monks in Thailand.

I have taught English in many settings inside and outside, some strange ones being include inside a childrens crechè, a science lab and in the middle of a park.

Some of my ex students have become teachers, medics, influencers and even a professional bodybuilder!

English is not my only subject, I have also taught ICT, Lifeskills, Art, First Aid and Social studies.

I have lived and worked in 4 countries, England then Thailand, a short project in Spain and now in Italy. I speak Italian.

Flexibility
As an English teacher with 12 years experience I have used many strategies and materials to help students learn and acquire English, and this makes me a flexible teacher. I always adapt my approach to students needs and requests, if you do not need or want to do writing you won't have to write. I have also spent a few years teaching Art and ICT in English, so now I am very adept at incorporating technology and images into my lessons.
